Everything we serve is made from scratch, from the margaritas to the tortillas that are hand-pressed to order. It’s all fresh at De Cero - which is loosely translated as "from scratch". At De Cero, we’re known for our 15 different tacos, served a la carte or ordered in a shared platter of eight. Everything you can think of: grilled ahi tuna taco with mango habenero salsa, grilled skirt steak taco with potatoes and chipotle mayo, roasted raja pepper taco with cheese, or the amazing battered shrimp taco with avocad... read more

User review by betty2004 – I love Mexican food!!! I've probably been in all the Mexican restaurants in Chicago. I was very excited about the new De cero restaurant recommended by my friend. Although the place had very nice interior, the food was horroble. The duck nachos were OK, but the chicken tacos and shrimp fehitas that me and my husband ordered were very tasteless. Contemporary taqueria serves upscale Mexican street food in stylish surroundings. – The Scene Old Mexico meets Randolph Street in this stylish, uncluttered space, where rustic pine furniture and tortilla-colored walls blend comfortably with industrial-metal accents and deep-blue stained floors. West Loop loft dwellers and local business diners fill tables in the main dining room or linger at the bar for a specialty margarita, like peach chamomile or raspberry cilantro. Service is fast and friendly. The Food This isn't a typi... read more
If you like bland food, this place is for you – The items on the menu sounded delicious, too bad none of them had any flavor. Extremely disappointed.
Taquitos – I had heard good things about this place, but am now confident in saying that La Pasadita has nothing to fear. Mexican food is cheap to make, so for 3.50 /taco (single tortilla, mind you) I expected something special. The salsas were very good, the tamales were alright, and the horchata colada was unpleasant. The room could use some help too, it's sort of bare and oppressive at the same time. Not bad, but there are both upscale and downscale Mexican restaurants here in Chicago that do it better.
