BUYER BEWARE! Bought a not-so-old used car that appeared nice and clean on the visible areas. When a broken part underneath was discovered within a week, they refused any accountability or responsibility for what would be a somewhat inexpensive fix for them. They hide behind no promises on used cars. I would DISCOURAGE anyone from doing business with McGrath Acura in Libertyville.
Jaime was great and went above and beyond to get me a good deal, I will say there needs to be better communication. As a customer coming from Massachusetts you would think a dealership on a bordering state would have a runner in order to make registration seamless, especially knowing that MA doesn’t allow temp, or dealer plates. We paid for a program that is called appearance program. But when we tried to get issues repaired we get no where. Even called corporate office and got no where. Acura is got to be the worse company to deal with.

I hope this review helps other buyers avoid the mess we went through. We were interested in a car and had been dealing with a sales associate named ***** *****. A few days after our visit, ***** told us another customer test-drove the car and it had transmission issues. He said the dealership took it in for ***************, ***** texted to say the car needed a new transmission and couldnt be sold. This was the worst customer experience I've had in a long time. The ***air *** that "helped" me (older male w/ glasses) and I say that lightly was rude and you could tell wasn't interested in assisting me or making the situation better. Makes me not want to continue to buy acura cars if the dealership treats it's customers like a nuisance
I attempted to buy my lease & was unable to choose my lender. The lender I attempted to choose requested an unsigned bill of sale. Piazza instead provided a lease payoff quote request. The lender did not except this & Piazza blamed the lender I was attempting to choose as being difficult to work with. Since Piazza did not provide me with the paperwork my lender requested I had to let Piazza choose my lender. I took the car in for a repair from the manufacturer, the air conditioning was working fine, and now they delivered it without air conditioning and they are not taking responsibility. ***** ******* is the person in charge of the case and now he doesn't want to respond when I bring the car back with the air conditioning working fine.
