Scheduled a test drive a week in advance. Someone called me the morning of, confirming our appointment. We drove two hours from Philly for the test drive and were told the car sold the day before. The salesman ****** told us the car was sold and walked away mumbling. No alternative offer, no apology. Strongly suspect some discrimination was at play. For a spot that claims customer service is a top priority, ****** is a huge problem.
I brought my vehicle to DCH Montclair Acura on June 27, 2025, for an oil change, a ***** brake recall, and a seat issue. I received no communication all day until 20 minutes before closing. When I picked up the car, I discovered the driver-side window wouldnt roll up, and there was visible damage to the window channel and mirror.I immediately informed the service advisor, who acknowledged the issue and said they'd review security footage. What a miserable dealership. *** stands for "delivering customer happiness", which has been the opposite of my experience.I purchased a 2016 ***** XC60 T5 AWD from DCH Montclair on 4/29/24.I have driven the car 3000 miles, made 4 payments, and as of September 1st, the car has been undrivable. It is misfiring on 4 of 5 cylinders, cylinder 4 is completely lacking compression, and cylinders 2 and 3 aren't far behind. Absolute scummy dealership. My girlfriend went in because she found a ***** she really liked and that she's been looking for. So we sit down with the sales rep who sat there "crunching" the numbers, keeping it out of our site, sure enough he turns it around finally and it was loaded with insanely expensive and absolutely unnecessary "addons" trying to sneak them into her payments. I purchased a used vehicle from this dealership in May and have had issues at nearly every step in the process. To preface, I had no issues with the saleswoman I worked with, she was very helpful. However, it seems there are a ton of other issues in terms of management and the maintenance department. The moment I drove off the lot the check engine light came on. They charged me an 800$ dealer fee, a 400$ fee for nitrogen that they put in your tires without your request, 400$ for *************** (a warranty for car paint) that I couldn't opt out of and a 400$ fee for window etching which is also something that I couldn't opt out of. They were 100% trying to take advantage of me because I'm a young black women. 800$ as a dealer document fee is just absurd. I offered to pay cash but they would not take out the unnecessary fees. This dealership conducts fraud by purchasing cars attaching a warranty and making you fix it. Often the warranty won’t cover repairs and if it does only minimalistic and the problems will just come back. Do not purchase a vehicle from them unless you want to pay extra or want a broken car and get stuck in a loan.
Even through I purchase my car from there I wouldn't recommend anyone to purchase the car from there. Purchase 2020 Acura RDX ASpec with them on Feb 22, 2020. Drove home for couple days later with all documents clear and then called me in order to use my wife graduate program the loan name must be under her instead mine. Why don't you tell us at the first place when we was there or why don't your financial manager caught this error? I could easily use my wife name instead mine. My elderly mother and her companion ...he was visibly ill and could hardly walk, she clearly has Alzheimers… were talked into a lease last winter. He is now passed and she hasn't been allowed to drive for a year. The Sales Manager and others will not negotiate with us to return the car. They talked to their lawyers and say they did nothing wrong.
