I am afraid this a very predatory practice. I told them clearly, several times, I was only there for a cleaning, not an exam. But right after I was done with the cleaning, without giving me a moment to collect myself, the dentist showed up and looked at my teeth for 30 seconds, said everything was good and walked away. With that, they promptly billed me for an oral exam. They also guilt patients into doing a slew of services, so you never know what you really need vs. what they are charging you to stay in business. Tomas, my dental hygienist always takes great care in making me feel comfortable during my cleanings and services. He is kind, thoughtful, gentle yet thorough during any dental cleanings and procedures.

Just had a crown done on upper left molar. Dr. Deckard did such a great job I didn’t even have to change my invisilign retainer. The new crown was so close in shape to the original tooth it was a perfect fit. Had I needed it, he offered to try to adjust my existing retainer. Also unheard of usually that’s another 300+ $ another dentist would be happy to charge. He squeezed me in on short notice.
