D&C Homecare has been overseeing my 95 y/o mother's in home care for the last 2 years. The home care-givers that D&C have provided have done an excellent job watching over my mother and keeping me updated on how she is doing. I live far away from Maine (in Alaska), and need to know that my mother is in good hands between my visits. My husband received services from D&C Home Care in Bangor for approximately 4 months following a lengthy stay in rehab. With twice daily assistance from D&C he was able to move into assisted living as he was not able to live at home at that time. He needed help with dressing, laundry, and getting breakfast, and some cheery company. Ultimately, he was able to return home. This is from Lewis Payne, the client and funder of services, not his wife who contacted the service originally. 1. Billing was both timely and accurate. 2. Personnel were many and varied. I new ahead of time who was showing up and when. If there were schedule changes I was notified ahead of time. 3. Due to weather and/or personal circumstances I had fewer than 5 no shows in 90 days, that is 180 encounters. I usually was notified but it seems to me there should have been a back up plan.
