I went there a while ago and Jamie is absolutely fantastic. I never had a therapist as good as Jamie. I didn’t like the way the group was run. I felt like it was all over the place and they don’t take insurance, but Jamie is a kind, caring man and extremely smartand I wish I could see him again.
I have nothing but tremendous gratitude for Dr. Kathy Kupperman and Jami Shumake founder. They were absolutely amazing with my teen daughter and helping her manage her Anxiety and teaching her skills to deal with anxiety.Their professionalism and care for her were unmatched. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
My 15 year old has been attending DBT Associates for over 2 years now and I can see a tremendous improvement in how they handle their anxiety and depression and cope with day to day life. Where there was once a major issue with school attendance and overall social anxiety, there is now a re-emergence of self confidence thanks to the one on one therapy sessions and the weekly adolescent group therapy. We could not be happier with our child’s therapist at Nyack DBT. He is available for in-the-moment coaching by text and phone which has proven invaluable. We feel very lucky to have him in our child’s life.
