Had to rent a room due too a planned power outage that was scheduled, I have a medical condition that is worsened by heat, no A/C would be really bad for me. I am grateful that I had an option for me and my dog. I'm on disability...spending this much money was not easy. The room was dirty, I had to do a complete surface clean, I laid a sleeping bag on the bed cause I was too afraid of there hygiene practices after seeing the bug. My stay was from June 26th through June 29th. I stayed at this motel about 5, 6, maybe 8 years ago. I said I wouldn't come back, because I found a dirty washcloth hanging on the shower curtain rod, in my supposedly cleaned room. I did stay there a few weeks ago over the weekend. at the end of June. the carpet was dirty. not so much black dirt but something sticky on it, the toilet seat would not stay up, not the lid but the seat. Drove 13 hrs from Maryland to find a very professional and welcoming staff, who were very informative and helpful. The room was immaculate, the indoor pool and jacuzzi were very large and well maintained, the breakfast was much more than expected with make your own waffles, warm and eat omelets, pastries, coffee, and juices. We used the laundry facilities and saw the outdoor fire ring, but were too busy to utilize it.
