We used to LOVE stopping at Dawson & Stevens on our trips up north. This past week, we found a smaller menu than in the past (it's been 2 years since we last stopped), and the bill was almost $50 for a grilled cheese, a bacon cheeseburger, an order of mozerella sticks, and 1 soda. That's way over priced for the quality of the food, and the type of food. It's decent diner food- not a 4-star restaurant. We love the atmosphere, but the price tag for diner food was just way too much.

The decor is very cool and so if u consider the cost of your meal “the price of admission” than you’ll leave satisfied. If you’re going their for a good meal with decent service you’ll be VERY disappointed. The place was nearly full so maybe more volume than they’re used to but at one point I swear no on in the place had food or were eating...when we FINALLY got our meal it was at best well below average. Very cute place with very cute waitresses! Fun !
The Molly soup was excellent and the Reuben was one of the best I ever had. The atmosphere was great and quiet enough to have a conversation.
This is a great place to visit, but we would like to have chocolate almond ice cream.
Great food, really good ice cream, and a nice atmosphere. Only draw back, they are very slow.
Awesome place to eat. Staff is always very nice. Food is really good.
The food we did get tasted great, but our order was incomplete, we found a hair in our burger and we waited for over an hour for our food. When we expressed our concerns to the waitstaff they said it was because they were busy. That is true, it was busy, but that is no excuse for hair in food or never getting part of our order.
