I have lived in one of their buildings for 1.5 years now and while it is affordable, it is not managed at all. The laundry has been flooding in our building since June and still nothing has been done about it. But somehow, they made time to come and make the machines more expensive for us. Scheduled a tour with Dustin Moran, he ended up no-showing. Neither he nor any of the Davis Property Management phone numbers I left messages for returned my calls (4 different numbers tried in total). He ended up emailing me back the next day, and we scheduled another tour. Rinse, repeat. He no-showed again. I suppose if you fool me twice, shame on me. He also ghosted after this. A friend of mine was excited to move into a spot apparently managed by this company however Dustin was not accommodating at all, after looking into the reviews it’s clear everyone has the same experience. They verbally stated he doesn’t answer phone calls. What kind of property manager doesn’t answer phone calls from tenants.
He did not cover my area, He was kind enough to guide me, gave me referrals, explained what the best approach is. I have gotten quite the good impression.
Beware, if you rent from them your “security deposit” should be seen more as a downpayment. We were warned by multiple tenants that they keep the majority and unfortunately that proved true. We were charged for things like a carbon monoxide detector that was never there (you may want to check for your own safety that they have installed one) and a water filter despite the fact that the fridge is not connected to water.
