Dr Davis is an excellent psychiatrist. I've been seeing him for years. I've read all reviews & feel the need to clarify some things said about this practice. I was sent to manage about 2 dozen drugs I have to take. Dr. Davis is uber conscientious about drugs & their interactions with other drugs. If you weren't there to manage prescriptions, you should have tried a functional physician. Yes, his receptionist is inquisitive about why & when Dr Davis wants to schedule your next appointment. Not helpful - condescending, overmedicates, does not remember what he says in past sessions - yells at me - his receptionist is insanely rude, condescending, sarcastic and insulting - all the time. Would warn people to stay away from here - harmful experience.
Dr. Davis has been my psychiatrist for many years. What I like most about him is his gentle manner. He offers a good perspective, and has helped me accept myself as am, while helping me get better. He's an expert on the medical side of psychiatry, and keeps up to date on research and new findings.
I called to make an appointment as a new patient and was horrified by the treatment of the phone receptionist. They do not accept credit or debit cards. I was also told I may not even be accepted into the program even when paying out of pocket. As someone with a debilitating anxiety already this was very upsetting. The receptionist who is supposed to be taking calls from people with anxiety and psychiatric concerns should NEVER hang up on someone who needs help.
