Doctor did not want to listen to my history. Seemed to not care at all. I felt as if I were being scolded by him. I was being as respectful and thoroughly detailed as possible, but that did not seem to matter whatsoever. Appointment definitely felt rushed.
My experience with the doctor was a flex sigmoidoscopy. So I only had about 10 minutes with him. But his kind bedside manner was his most noticeable trait, and also his skill with this very uncomfortable procedure. He asked questions, listened when I answered, and understood the psychology of the procedure, distracting me with conversation during the worst part. For the most part I hate doctors, due two years of negative experiences, and I walked out of there deciding that he was my new gastro.
I told him of our family's history of colon cancer, and that my last doctor wanted me back in 3 years. He arrogantly asked why If one doctor told you every three years, why are you here? I said I had missed a year. He continued to argue with me, saying I don't even think you need this procedure. I insisted, and DR.CONGENIALITY found 10 POLYPS 2 noted as VERY pre-cancerous. He put my life at risk for CANCER! I am writing him a note to point out his ridiculous idea could have cost me my l
