I saw Dr. Prewitt following an abnormal EKG during pre-op for lumbar surgery. He performed another EKG (also abnormal) and a Cardio PET Stress Test (also abnormal). Dr. Prewitt had requested rush procedure on this very heavily scheduled and utilized machine in order that I might meet the deadline for the back surgery scheduled two days later. Referred to Heart Hospital for angiogram by Dr. Sayfo, of the same practice. Results indicated arterial blockage requiring quadruple bypass by Dr. Justin Schaeffer at BSW Legacy Heart H... read more
Not just a bad doctor, also an unpleasant human. Like, is something wrong with this man? He was the attending Dr. at my stress test and the result was "Abnormal". I asked him what it meant. He answered by spending 1 minute talking about how bad insurance companies were and then told me he literally wouldn't tell me because he only had 30 seconds left and I wouldn't/couldn't understand. He recommended I get another more detailed stress test to see if it had been a false positive.... literally never told me what an abnormal st... read more
Literally the worst doctor I have ever seen. Made me feel like I was wasting his time. I don’t think he believes in any diagnostic or preventative care. Totally dismissed. Spent about 2 min with me, talking over me, not reading or asking anything regarding history. This guy is a joke.
I was told that I was having issues stenosis and his follow up was turn me over to the heart valve folks good luck. Booked appointment with one of his Baylor brothers in McKinney.
Dr Prewitt is very personable and caring. He is brilliant. His staff is very helpful
I would NOT want to see him again. Never before have I experienced such an arrogant dismissive attitude. Left there feeling frustrated and angry. Even if he is actually a good cardiologist I would not want to subject myself to the frustration I am still feeling. My level of trust is non-existent as was his compassion for my concerns. He actually doesn’t rate 1 star for me. Would certainly not recommend anyone I knew to him.
I found my visit with Dr. Prewitt to be excellent. He makes you feel comfortable, while be professional. The staff were friendly and my wait was only five minutes. Dr. Prewitt explained what he felt might be going on and ordered some tests to help determine a diagnosis. He is a very highly regarded physician and I'm thankful for the recommendation that I see him.
My mother is 103 years old. I like the fact that Dr. Prewitt has a no nonsense attitude. Tells it like it is. Great!
Not exactly sure HOW this man is a doctor. I was a new patient experiencing chest pain, shortness of breath and dizziness AND I told him that I have a heart valve issue. As I listed my symptoms, he responded (after each one) NOT a Cardiac problem....Wait, WHAT?? I saw another doctor recently who said this is absolutely have a cardiac issue, ordered test and told me that I have a heart murmur. Dr. Prewitt, can I get my $50 co-pay back please?
