Did not listen to my concerns or give me any other options besides what he was currently prescribing . He wanted me to be basically be on a specific ssri forever without ever trying other options or lower rx amount but “ you can do whatever you want” . I recommended at first, but now that I’m about a year postpartum and he doesn’t seem to care how I feel on my medication, I would NOT recommend (unless you wish to be medically gaslit …) I feel his primary goal is to pill push and refer out for anything else.

As soon as he heard that I suffer from depression and anxiety, he immediately informed me that there is no way I could have PMDD. Subsequently, I did some research and according to the NIH, this simply isn't true. 70 percent of women who have PMDD also have pre-existing depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder and bipolar disorder among other psychological illnesses. It was so nice to have somebody who understood how important ADHD medication is even when pregnant to be able to function properly.

Dr. Silver himself was great. The billing department/office manager is where my issue is. I called the office & billing after my appointment regarding the way the bill was coded because the way it was billed/coded, my insurance applied it towards my deductible instead of covering it at 100% under my mental health coverage and I was left with a $400 bill. My health insurer explained how the bill needed to be coded which I relayed to Dr. Silver's office and UPMC billing and they refused to rebill. I am now left with a $400 bil... read more
