I have been a patient with Dr. Yee for many years and absolutely love this doctor. However, his staff leaves a lot to be desired. Phone reps are very friendly and listen to your reason for calling but staff is horrid in making getting back to you making follow up phone calls to address your concerns, relay lab results, advice, etc. I noticed this from day one and have no idea why this is not addressed.
Under Dr. Yee's care for 2+ yrs (limited to semi-annual ultrasounds) when a mass was identified on radiology report. Liklyhood of surgery motivated Dr Yee to admit he would not do any surgery due to my rare bleeding disorder. He told me i would have to find another doctor. Comfortable taking the money while knowing he would never treat me. I had told him at first appt. in 2014 of Kaiser scans for same issue, insisted he request prior Kaiser reports 2007-2012 results: little change since 2012.
Office help double crosses this doctor.
From the first visit to the last very negative, people walking in and out of exam room or talking to the doctor with the door open while I was nude from the waist down on an exam table.Staff is horrible, management needs to take control of the office, scheduling is a nightmare and the doctor was ignorant and uncaring about wound issues and went 5 weeks postoperatively with an infection.I had to rely on other care providers to address issues related to my condition that Dr Yee should have addressed.
I saw Dr. Yee 3 years ago after experiencing pain and bleeding in my urine. My primary sent me for MRI and found 2 large kidney stones in each of my kidneys. Dr. Yee showed me the stones on the computer and throughly discussed his recommendation. He explained one was large enough he might have to do surgery but I really wanted to avoid that. He agreed that he will try to remove with laser. He was successful. He followed up with me and I get an xray every year for follow up appt. with him.
After a renal test and before meeting Dr. Yee, he called personally to discuss the results and to schedule an appointment the following morning. Dr. Yee was kind, personable and answered all our questions. After more tests, 3 family members plus myself met with him. He was patient with all of us and instilled great confidence & trust in his ability concerning the upcoming surgery which went perfectly. He still calls personally to answer questions & check on me. Amazing person & doctor.
The worst office visit and follow up I have ever experienced. Had a cystoscopy, was recommended for biopsy with no reason explained. As a recent breast cancer patient this was extremely frightening, was told I would have to wait a month! They scheduled imaging and blood work without my knowledge. RN promised to call, didn't. Was forced to continue to deal with his RN, Chelsea, who is by far the most uncompassionate and condescending nurse I have ever ruin into. Found new doctor!
Dr. Yee takes the time to listen to me and explain concerns and/or options.
