Dr. Raskas performed much needed spinal fusion on my lower back, S1-L4-L5. The two part, somewhat invasive went without a hitch. 13 months later my lower back and sciatic nerve pain are gone and scaring is minimal. I can't say enough about him and his team. I received awesome aftercare and on more than one occasion was able to reach them late at night. I highly recommend him, his staff and the wonderful people at Frontenac Surgery Center!

If you have spine issues, you may be intrigued by one of Dr. Raskas' several billboards around the county with a giant human spine wrapped around them (see attached image). However, if you can look past the appeal of such an inviting spectacle of advertising, there are things you should be aware of when considering him as someone who could be performing surgery on your spine. If I could give negative stars I would. Terrible about overbooking and time management, the worst bedside manner I’ve ever experienced and honestly a total jerk who does not listen to his patients. He once made me wait over 12 hours for surgery, only to come out and refuse to perform because he had overbooked himself and was tired.

I had a March 6, 2019 surgery. Dr. Raskas is absolutely WONDERFUL!! Patient, kind, friendly, extremely smart - I can’t say enough. His staff is wonderful also.

Dr. Raskas and staff provided the best experience possible. Every aspect of the procedure was clearly explained. I am grateful and amazed by how quickly they were able to relieve me of the constant pain. Thank you!

Dr Raskas is a very knowledgeable and patient surgeon. He took great care and time to explain my MRI and CT scan to my husband and myself. When he had completed explaining my diagnosis, I took out a notepad with a list of questions I had earlier prepared to check if there were any more things I needed to know. He very kindly asked me to pass the note to him. He read each question and answered them. In fact, every question on the list was already touched on during his initial explanation.
