Dr. Heiman has been my Gastro doctor for close to a year. I truly believe he is good at what he does. I have HIP C. Last year I my HIC C problems/management was handled by a nice non-doctor that didn't cover everything that should have been discussed/diagnosed. The problem I have is with Dr. Heiman. He is not sensitive to my concerns and needs and does not return phone calls. I have done everything asked of me and he is not concerned enough about me as a patient with problems. I pay ins,
My experience with Dr. Heiman was very disappointing. I am new to Tampa Bay, and I picked this doctor based on the fact that he is close to where I work. During my first visit, he was very condescending. He deemed my crohn's to be a tummy ache, refusing refills of the medication that I have been taking for the past 5 years. He also refused to acknowledge my diagnosis until he could do his own testing, despite my extensive medical records. Needless to say, I'm looking for a new GI doctor.
