Judged me from my med list without even knowing my medical conditions. Due to a medical condition I was having confusion and could not explain my meds properly. He judged me without knowing medical reasons for the medication. Acted very unprofessional rolling his eyes at me. He was a coward who never came back to talk with me about diagnosis. Do Not Allow this person the privilege of treating you!
Dr David J Powell refused to treat me for a life threatening infection because I am a person of color. When explaining my symptoms he laughed at me and walked out of the room and discharged me. Not knowing what I came in for, no medications or care rendered. He made a fool out of me for literally being sick. I have never been humiliated in a medical setting. Now at 2 am I am looking for another ER …and I have to be at work at 7am….
Dr. Powell is a great doctor! During one of my visits he listened to me as I described the pain I was having and set me straight to ER to get CT scan and thank God he did.
Dr. Powell was not my original physician. I was involuntarily reassigned to him because my doctor left the practice. By the end of my visit I felt as if I'd known him for years and he explained my case chart to me in laymens terms. I was impressed that he also reviewed my chart in depth because he answered questions I had had but was afraid to ask. I give this professional man 5 stars. He was attentive, courteous, candid, and knowledgeable.
Great doctor! He actually took time to listen to what I have been saying to may doctors for years and get to the bottom of the actual diagnosis. His staff is really cool too!
