Dr. O'Brien saw my son for a pilonidal cyst that had ruptured. My son is is on the autism spectrum and communication for and with him is difficult. Dr. O'Brien excelled both in terms of skilled surgery and post-surgery management, as well as creating a rapport with my son. Due to the nature of this issue, this was particularly important, and very much appreciated.
I have gone through multiple surgeries with Dr. O'Brien, and he is one of the only surgeons I would trust to operate on me again. He’s extremely competent, passionate and gets to the point. He always validated my feelings and helped me feel confident in my body and decisions.
Was unfamiliar with a very common, basic condition and reaction to medication. Pharmacist had to call him to update and recommend what I needed to avoid bad reaction. Billed for "extended" appointment despite looking at the clock the whole 9 minutes.
Plenty of quality referrals all suggested Dr O'Brien for a 4 hour surgical procedure. It was successful and I was completely confident due to his years of experience and expertise. Very nice man as well. Thank you
I went here as a second opinion and was charged 4x the amount the previous doctor had charged for a similar appointment and he did not answer my questions clearly. More like a politician avoiding a direct answer. All four pharmacies I called after the appointment gave a similar (and FREE) recommendation that the expert doctor couldn't figure out despite feeling it was fair to charge me $422 for 8 minutes of his expert time.

Very thorough and clear in diagnostics
I trust Dr. Obrien. He’s helped me a lot in the past, and he has never dismissed any of my comments or my fears, no matter how dumb they may seem to me. Exactly what I need.
I appreciated how honest Dr. O'Brien was about what to expect after surgery, the possible complications, and the recovery time. I haven't had surgery yet, but so far my experience with The Oregon Clinic, its staff and its physicians has been very positive.
