He preformed three surgeries on my right shoulder. The first was a hemi-orthoplasty. Following the surgery there was very little stability to the joint even with physical therapy. He performed a total reverse (reversing the ball and joint) for the second surgery. Even with extensive physical therapy I had considerable pain in the joint. Very kind 1 st visit 2nd visit- unkind, bad bedside manner! Spoke harshly to me and about my description of my pain!?? I went to the car and cried! Where is kindness?
Dr. David Collins was fantastic. He was knowledgable and took the time to explain to me what he was seeing on the x-rays and MRI. He was an active and responsive listener. He administer an exam on my range of motion, of my shoulders. I was very pleased with the quality fo care.
Dr Collins and staff were kind, compassionate and comforting to me. Dr Collins consultation was excellent confirming, expertise and compassion is very rare. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to experience his treatment plan.
About 20 years ago when Dr. Collins was with AR Sports Medicine he patched my shoulder with 3 pig gut patches. It was sort of a new procedure so there was no long term prognosis.
