Dr. Pope is an excellent physician.
Dr. Pope has performed a ACL reconstruction and meniscectomy with great results. I had a previous ACL repair on the same knee which I believe was a failed surgery. I have not had any issues since my second repair. Dr. Pope's staff is excellent. They will call back in a timely manner and try to accommodate my schedule when I need to be seen.
Originally started with another doctor at B&J but changed when he told my college age daughter that she didn’t need crutches or support while she waited for repair of her complete ACL tear. Dr. Pope is lovely. He patiently explained her injury, drew pictures, explained the procedure and follow up. I have suffered from a knee problem since I was a child. I have been to several doctors and had three surgeries before I found Dr. Pope. He is the first doctor to actually listen to me and believe that I knew my body better than he did. He listened and asked questions and didn't dismiss me. And, he performed the surgery that has fixed my knee. It's been over a year and I have had no problems! In the age of managed care, I never felt rushed with Dr. Pope. Professional and caring.
Dr. Pope performed an ACL reconstruction on my right knee where I had completely severed the ligament. He took appropriate steps to diagnose, then advised on treatment options along with information for my specific conditions. He explained the negative effects that I could expect including recovery time. I never felt rushed.
Dr. Pope repaired my left knee and I was up and around in 2 days. i would recommend him to all in need.
A skilled physician with excellent bedside manner. Dr. Pope communicates at patient appropriate level and is very realistic in setting expectations. He is mild mannered and instantly puts you at ease.
I was referred to Dr. Pope by Dr. Lawrence J. Messina, M.D. who was my doctor for years. I needed surgery because of a Torn Meniscus. During my first visit with Dr. Pope he put my considers at ease. He explained what I needed to be done as out patient, the time of recovery and physical therapy. There were complications with the Anesthesia and I was admitted to the hospital. Dr. Pope returned to the hospital after hours to check on my condition. He has the best doctor to patient considers.
I have been a patient since 1999. I have recommended this doctor to anyone I know who needs a good orthopedic doctor. Excellent doctor and wonderful bedside manner. You can't go wrong!
