Extremely Disrespectful Phone Experience I called to book an appointment with an eye doctor for my parents. I spoke politely and respectfully, and when I started spelling out their names clearly, the receptionist laughed in a mocking and inappropriate way. When I asked why she was laughing, she said, “You don’t know how to speak,” and continued to laugh in a very unprofessional and offensive manner. My spouse and I are based overseas with the military and VSP plan ensured us that when we got our new glasses with them, adjustments can be made with any VSP provider back in the states and that the provider can still bill for that service. The receptionist was extremely unhelpful and rude when I stopped by to inquire about this service, laughing in my face. I reiterated that this was stated by VSP in both writing and verbally. Horrible.
