Dr. Mayman was recommended to me bc I needed a revision surgery to a botched knee replacement surgery. He was amazing and did his best to repair the damage left by the prior surgeon.

I've had 2 knee replacement surgeries with Dr Mayman. They could not have been better. Staff there is wonderful. He is highly skilled and a great guy as well. Would never consider anyone else.
After being treated rudely by another MD In CT, I reached out to my nurse colleagues at HSS. Each and every one said David Mayman is the best. They were right ! He spent an hour with me preop and took this very experienced, but anxious RN off the ledge ! Surgery was smooth as silk and recovery, although painful, was awesome. I traveled from New Haven,CT to NYC to have surgery at HSS. Everything about it was stellar. Dr Mayman is a five star surgeon !
I had a total hip replacement in Sept, 2019. I was on my feet and walking in less than 24 hours, off pain medications in 4 days and stopped using any walking aids in less than a week. Do not go to anyone else to have your surgery done!!
Dr. Mayman performed a total knee replacement revision of my left knee in 2016. After being in pain for six years, I was able to start a new life and began running again, pain free. I completed the Shape Half on 4/14/19 and I feel no pain. Thanks, Dr Mayman!!
My total hip replacement surgery was scheduled at another hospital with a different physician whom I was just not comfortable with so a friend recommended Dr Mayman. As soon as I met Dr Mayman I knew he was the right doctor for me. I had a right total hip replacement on May 18, 2017. I left the hospital 24 hours later and did not take one pain pill. I hope never to need additional joint replacemet surgery but if I do Dr Mayman is the only doctor for me. BTW-HSS is the best too.
i had two partial knee replacements by Dr Mayman over 5 years ago. When I first visited him I could barely walk. I now feel great. I can't praise him enough.
