Before my cataract surgery Dr. Hwang and I discussed why I was having the surgery. I said that I wanted to be able to read foreign film subtitles on television and read street signs, both of which I could no longer read with my prescription glasses. Post cataract surgery subtitles on television are out of focus unless I wear glasses, and most street signs I can not read even with glasses. Before my cataract surgery Dr. Hwang and I discussed why I was having the surgery. I said that I wanted to be able to read foreign film subtitles on television and read street signs, both of which I could no longer read with my prescription glasses. Post cataract surgery on my right eye, subtitles on television are out of focus and most street signs I can not read. My right eye vision never became clear. I have a focal point 20 inches in front of my face. I cancelled my left eye cataract surgery.
