Pleasant first time experience he listened intensely to my medical problem made a quick exam, assured nothing to be worried about, took lab work results were called to me in a timely manner and was told my lab work came okey and nothing to worry about

Great Doctor. However their office with regard to acquiring prescription authorizations is an outrage! You will need to wait 2 to 3 weeks to get a medication paid by your insurance. They have only one person doing authorizations and it's constantly backlogged. There is no excuse for this! Dr Koota is great but his office is the worst i have ever encountered with regard to prescriptions. I left messages for 3 days and no one got back to me. So be aware if you require a prior authorization because you will wait forever.
Look, I went through hell. After an unrelated procedure I developed a real problem with BPH but they got me in, did all the tests and had a procedure done in a very short period of time. Best thing I ever did. I did the green light TERP and very happy with it.
Super patient and courteous. So knowledgeable and informative as well as an amazing surgeon.
Lastly I left a message for Office Manager, Ellen, to call me on March 19. It's now past 4:30 pm on March 19 and no callback from Ellen. Very disturbing! Dr. Koota is an excellent doctor, and I'm not leaving him. But the Office Staff is the worst. They just don't care about the patients!
Lack of coordination between Insurance coverage and Test/Laboratories. The office failed to send out blood work to required laboratory to be covered by our insurance, then told us that our insurance did not cover that type of blood test. When in fact, our insurance did cover the test but not the lab that Dr office sent the blood work. They failed to check our insurance to find the covered lab that did perform that particular test.
