I suffered a shoulder injury while training with my Jiujitsu sparring partners. I needed to find a top level Orthopedic Surgeon in Orange County who could repair my shoulder to handle the stresses I put on it at times. I liked what I read about Dr. Kim's training and affiliation, so I called his office to set up an appointment. Dr. Kim set me up for an MRI to accurately diagnosed my injury. Dr. Kim repaired my torn labrum about 8 years ago. I remember being pleased with my visits and the results of the surgery. No exaggeration, I was bench pressing more than I’d ever done my entire life exactly 12 months after the surgery—I wrestled in high school and have lifted weights my entire life, by the way.
Dr. Kim just performed shoulder surgery on my 18 yr old son. We saw 3 different orthopedic surgeons and chose to go with Dr. Kim. So glad we did. He is a caring, skilled dr. Scheduling the surgery was a breeze. Every one of his staff members we have dealt with have been friendly and professional.
Dr. Kim was very rude and barely looked at me the entire consultation because he was looking down and texting on an ipad. He was not providing guidance when I asked how he would help for my rhinoplasty questions. He made me feel uncomfortable and I felt he was condescending in the way he spoke to me. I don't think he took me seriously and didn't give me the time of day. It was very disappointing and I'd never go to him again.
