David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA boasts that it is "the best" medical school. It's not. It is competitive because it is located in a large state and hence there are many applicants. The University of California solicits demographics of race prior to the delivery of admissions, which screams implicit bias. Such data should be collected after an admissions decision.

The Geffen School of Medicine outreach team tries to be approachable to the public. However, I have seen a staff member from Admissions throw a temper tantrum on a public Zoom webinar, irritated over an attendee trying to get more info about applying to the School of Medicine. He should get anger management therapy. This makes Geffen look unprofessional and unkind.

I got seemingly outdated technology in an “at home sleep study” to confirm what I already knew, I have sleep apnea. This was the “cheap one” that took a long time to get, because the insurance company denied the better one. They then inflated the bill to around $1500 and came after me for around $900. This is a prime example of the “Healthcare Industry” really being the Profit Care Industry. When I disputed the bill, they sent it to collections.
