Dr Gardiner is great but getting someone to answer the phone, even during business hours, is hit or miss.
Dr. Gardiner was my childhood optometrist. I’ve now been seeing him for 18 years. He’s the only doctor I’ve ever stuck with for so long. I have a very complicated prescription (MAJOR astigmatism) and he nails it (or gets very close to nailing it) every time. I've been using Dr. Gardiner for more than 15 years. He and his staff are always polite, on time, professional. He stays on top of current science, talking to me every time about issues I might have (but fortunately don't have yet) as I'm diabetic. Dr. Gardiner always has time for any questions or issues that I might have (e.g., bifocals drive me nuts, and my presbyopia is getting worse, so I ask him for multiple single vision lens prescriptions as I prefer to swap glasses a lot rather than fight with bifocals or trifocals).
