My overall philosophy of medicine is one of communication and alliance with my patients to find solutions to their allergic, asthmatic, and immunologic conditions. While I believe in appropriate and intelligent use of diagnostic testing and imaging when required, I have found in my training and practice that what is most important is taking the time to listen to my patients and to educate them about their conditions and the treatment options that exist. As each patient is unique, the therapeutic strategies I utilize are indi... read more

I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Fitzhugh! He is the kindest human being and has gone above and beyond to pursue options for my son with multiple food allergies. He has done exhaustive research in investigating many different solutions that could improve my son's quality of life. He is one of the most caring and thoughtful individuals I have ever met and is incredibly brilliant and deeply thoughtful in his recommendations. I feel blessed that he is my son's provider and would recommend him in a heart beat!
I've been a patient of Dr. Fitzhugh for about a year and a half. I have complicated medical issues. Dr. Fitzhugh has my asthma under control. He has also actively pursued answers to resolve my underlying immune issues. He is a very deep thinker and I have a high degree of confidence in his opinion. He really seems to care a lot about his patients.
Very good
I visited Dr. Fitzhugh a few times but he was unable to provide a cause for my allergies. I was satisfied with his effort during testing but I feel he just ‘gave up’ when he couldn’t diagnose what caused my issues.
I liked Dr. Fitzhugh with regards to communication and his effort into finding my allergy. I visited 3 times and he finally told me I was in the 1% that could not be diagnosed. After many more life-threatening events that landed me in the ER, I cannot give up like Dr. Fithugh did. On to Johns Hopkins.
After nine years of pursuing options and guidance on food allergies, Dr Fitzhugh was the answer. After a detailed analysis, he shared with us that our son may never have been allergic to peanuts, and we scheduled a challenge. Our son passed the challenge with no issues whatsoever after years of being told by other allergists that he should never touch them! Exceptional communication, precise data analysis and intelligent guidance all in one doctor. Thanks Dr Fitzhugh!
Dr. Fitzhugh is a gentle and kind doctor, never hurried, always thoughtful. He definitely knows his medicine and diagnosed a non-allergic condition with ease.....also diagnosed allergy. A great staff surrounds him. I have never been any happier with a provider!!!
Dr. Fitzhugh and his entire staff are excellent to work with. Kind, caring and will go out of their way to make your experience the very best.
