The medical biller Lori is really rude and difficult to work with. She won’t even let you speak on the phone and is very short with you. She is very pushy and threatens patient about going to collections instead of working with patients which goes against what healthcare and caring for patients is all about.
The staff here are so unpleasant. The first time I went, I had to stand there for 10 min while the woman at the desk ignored me. Like others, there was no greeting, just “last name.” You would think she worked in a prison. Later, in trying to make an appointment, I had to listen to the receptionist drone on and on about why they don’t have room. They do not respect your time, but they expect you to respect theirs. We came to Specialty OB for our 20 week anatomy scan and had a phenomenal experience! I was a little wary of the negative reviews, but we had a great experience! Lynn was our ultrasound technician who was great and talked us through the scan the entire time. Dr. Nguyen then came in to explain the results and she was also very kind and thorough. Overall really good experience here!
After my initial scan I was turned off by the coldness of the practice. I was referred back for my anatomy scan and after MANY calls back with no option to leave a voicemail, my referral was cancelled. Please train your office staff to not be jerks, the woman on the phone gave no accountability to the office staff. Not that it matters, but I declined a second referral back. If you can avoid this place, please do.
I was initially worried about coming here given some of the reviews and perhaps my experience would have felt different if I had a loss or additional complications, but I had nothing but a great experience with the folks here. I had an initial teleconsult with Dr. Dowling, who spent a good amount of time going over my medical history and treatment options and very much allowed me to make my own informed decision.
