I was nervous at first to go here because I noticed the last several reviews were not good. Thankfully, my experience here was absolutely great. Yes, the front staff asks you your name without saying hi when you first walk in. Whatever. Not a big deal to me. They were totally nice and helpful from check in to check out. We had a very negative experience with Specialty Obstetrics this year. We went for the fetal anatomy scan and they told us that the baby had a heart leak that needed regular follow up appointments with them and a special cardiologist exam at Rady Children's Hospital. We went for the cardiology appointment, and the cardiologist told us that the baby is completely normal, no follow up is necessary, and she had no idea why Specialty referred us. The ladies at the front desk are SO rude. I've been here 3 times now and they don't even greet you with a hello or a smile. Just "last name?" In a rude tone like they are annoyed you even showed up. Sitting in the waiting room you can hear them gossiping and complaining about their jobs. No idea how they haven't been fired. Absolutely ridiculous for a specialist obstetrics office where most patients are coming in already stressed out.
If I could give ZERO stars I would. Today my wife and I had our first appointment with SOSD. We were expecting twins, thus we were referred to this practice by our general OBGYN. It was one of the worst healthcare experiences we have had in a long time, if ever. We were "greeted" by the two front desk staff members with nothing more than a glance as we walked in and then were asked "last name?" No welcome, no smile, no warmth. Was referred here because I am AMA. Third pregnancy, very low risk factors except my age. The visits seemed unnecessary but I kept going at the advice of my OBGYN. Saw multiple providers and ultrasound techs. Some more friendly than others but no overall complaints. Then my last appointment, the provider didn't even see me.
