After dealing with BPH and side effects of the meds for a decade, I asked Dr. Chaikin for a 'one and done' procedure that would last the rest of my life (70 years old). Aquablation was recommended and performed. While a bit more intense than the gold standard TURP, for me was very effective. Dr. Chaiken performed Aquablation surgury on me about 9 months ago. I was 55 years old when he did the procedure on me. He told me that I was an excellent candidate for it and it would go smoothly. He said I would be 'feeling pretty good' after 4 weeks. When, I wasn't getting better after 4 weeks, he said, 'some people get better after four weeks and others need their hands held'. Dr. Chaikin treated my urinary incontinence with the insertion of an AUS. I thought he did an outstanding job. One year later I am free of incontinence. The surgery and aftermath went as well as could be expected. He was honest about shortcomings I might have in the future. Overall I highly recommend him.
Dr. Chaikin performed an aqua ablation on me, before the procedure. He explained all my options very well and help me pick which was best for me. I'm 4 weeks out now and couldn't be happier. I had a condition that made my procedure more complicated and he handled it very well. I would definitely recommend
Dr. Chaikin is a very knowledgeable, efficient and caring person.
Dr Chaikin is extremely rude and dismissive. I came in with pain and he totally dismissed me. A few weeks later my gastroenterologist ran a few tests and the results showed an urological problem I went back to him with those test results and he once again dismissed me and told me that I could live with the pain and that he was not going to treat my condition. He didn’t even want to answer my questions. Run from this dr.
Dr. CHAIKIN has been my urologist for 20 years. He just performed an aquablation procedure on my prostate. It was a complete success!! I recommend Dr. CHAIKIN and his staff without reservation
