Dr.Berken is the best! He wasn’t my original doctor but I found him and I’m thankful! I’m still an ongoing patient as my foot was just destroyed! If you want great care and honesty he’s your choice!
I am very disappointed in Dr. Berken today. One of my girls had a great experience with him just a few months ago, but when I called today to schedule an appointment for my daughter we recently received custody of so shes not on our primary insurance yet he refused to see her as a patient because she has Medicaid. The receptionist gave me an appointment, but after I gave her the insurance (their website says the take) she stated she would have to ask him if he will see her. Dr Berken was a blessing from God! He was my Dr/surgeon when I broke my calcaneus and I am so thankful for him. He’s so knowledgeable and kind. Accidents are no fun and not wished upon anyone. But if you have one involving your foot, Dr Berken is the man to go to!
Dr.Berken performed surgery on my foot in July. He is very good surgeon. He listens and is up front and honest but very respectful and has a warm personality. He cares about his patients. His nurse and PA are awesome as well. Hopefully I will never have to have surgery on my foot again but if I do he will be the first one I call and go see. Thank you Dr. Berken for everything.
In 2021, I suffer my first broken bones, I broke my ankle so severely that it had to be fixed externally until the swelling went down enough to surgically place pins and plates to repair the break. He wasn’t my first doctor. The town I live in has an orthopedic surgeon, but I felt “talked down to” so I sought a different doctor and couldn’t have been happier.
