Extremely disappointed in the service. Not only do they not take cash, but you have to order online which is extremely inconvenient especially for the people who are not tech savvy. Cash is a US currency and i work hard for my money and the fact that i can’t use MY HARD EARNED MONEY because they do not want to “touch” our money but they can “touch” our coffee and muffins and were expected to eat it? I enjoyed going to Dave's coffee for years; then I heard from my friend Jane Joyce Argodale who formerly worked there that they have used the pandemic to lay off longstanding, good employees only to hire back new people at a lower pay. Needless to say, I will NOT be going back there again.

As a long time loyal customer of Dave's coffee, I was incredibly angry and disappointed to learn they laid off their entire team of baristas, and when they could afford to bring them back- slashed their pay to be RI minimum wage. When they expressed that this was unfair- ESPECIALLY DURING A GLOBAL PANDEMIC- they created a job posting on Indeed to find someone new. I guess since COVID-19 kicked in, all of the money I’ve given to you in both business and tips has been going straight to management. You took away your baristas’ time-and-a-half and chose to only pay them minimum wage, and when they spoke up, you just kicked them to the curb. Dave's as a company is sleazy and cheap. They laid their workers off in March, and recently made an Indeed.com post looking to till positions at a lower rate without the possibility of time and a half on Sundays. Save your business for Ma's Donuts, these guys crippled an entire team by laying them off and didn't even try to bring them back when they could afford workers.

I was there today. The place is beat. I stood there for twenty minutes and no one acknowledged me so I left. I understand the new normal but a quick "I'll be with you. Thanks for your patience". They were overwhelmed. They will not survive the new normal.
