I had 2 separate and different surgeries by Dr. R. Datta, and my wife had 1 by him. He is very personable, knowledgeable, caring, concerned and has blessed hands for the intricate surgeries he had to perform. I would have no hesitation using him again or recommending him to anyone. Staff is efficient, normal wait time (not unreasonable or objectional length of time). All surgeries were performed at So. Nassau Communities Hospital and were completely satisfactorily handled.
My experience has been great, it is the first time I have surgery (lumpectomy) and feel happy with results. No pain at all besides the regular feeling you get when you hit yourself very hard. Even though visits have been very brief, Dr. Datta is very friendly and positive, as is his staff. Since I had a couple of questions the day after my appointment, I decided to send him a message via the website and received a phone call from his nurse right away with the answers. Overall excellent service!
Dr D is part of the terrific team that has been so caring and professionalize had 3 rounds of radiation and 2 times chemo,dr datti has always been honest with me also very caring,I would definitely recommend him to family or friends.

Dr. Datta performed surgery on my left thyroid 4 years ago. I returned back December 2016 for a consultation on my right thyroid. Dr. Datta and his staff were welcoming, professional, and caring. Dr. Datta will perform the biopsy which is a huge relief. I am in good hands and trust his expertise and knowledge of the thyroid. The entire staff from the reception intake clerks, nurses medical students and most importantly Dr. Datta all have a smile and treat the patient with great respect.
