Was on the market for a new preowned car and saw that Darcars had one that had everything I was looking for, plus was reasonably priced. The sales consultant I initially met with was friendly and genuinely helpful, and the only reason this dealership gets any stars at all. Because after the pleasant initial meeting, another lady (sales manager?) came out to meet with us to discuss pricing, as in, pysch! Zero stars. Almost 6 mos since daughter purchased her car here and I am still helping her chase down her trade in check. Horrible customer service from Steve the GM. Corey in Sales is the only person who stays in communication. The WORST.
I fell so disgusted by the price gouging and deceitful sales tactics (A.) good cop/bad cop tactic; B.) claim the dealership was REQUIRED to charge a sales commission by Kia Corporate (even though the printed quote said "commission not required by law"); C) claim the dealership risked getting in trouble with the "state police" if audited and found to have not equally charged commissions evenly to everyone; and D.) I recently bought a 2022 Kia Carnival Prestige from Darcars. These are hard models to come by, so we felt lucky to find one on the lot at Darcars. In hindsight, I shouldn't have bought the vehicle, but I ignored some of the concerns at the moment. First of all, the process was very rushed. It "appeared" that there were other potential buyers wanting the car, so we were in a race to get it. That should have been a clue. I responded to Darcar Kia on 08/14/2021 to look at a 2016 Lexus ES350. The dealership was aware that I scheduled an appointment for the 14th and had more than enough time to prep the vehicle to show it. They did not. The salesman was nice throughout the sales process. I looked over the car and observed that the grill trim had been cut off as well as around the fog light trim.
