DAL provided us with an incredible education, comprehensive prenatal care and the exact birth experience that we needed (which for us was a transfer to UNM after 24 hours of labor). we were able to have the joyful birth we wanted, and got so much of the natural labor experience that we sought, even though we ended up with both interventions and a transfer. Can’t say enough wonderful things about the Dar a Luz team!
Not enough good things can be said about pur experience and the support I received from the providers at Dar a Luz. They remember your name, your baby, your story; if available to birth outside a hospital, this should be your place. The education options and events are great and relevant for all the community too!
All the midwives at Dar a Luz are knowledgeable and know how to make you feel confident and relaxed. I am so glad this place exists. I can't think of a better way to bring a baby in to this world!
My wife and I had such high hopes and we so impressed initially with Dar a Luz. However I could not and will not recommend it. A lot of care was not given during prenatal checks and things that we missed, ended up in a pre-birth hospitalization for my wife, a baby that ended up in the NICU and a difficult transition home. I love this place. I felt supported, safe, educated and empowered by my birth experience. These ladies are incredible and I am forever indebted to them for doing what they do. If I won the lottery I’d fund Dar a Luz. All women should have the opportunity to birth at a place like DAL.
I just delivered my fourth child, second to be born at Dar A Luz. I cannot say enough about how beautiful and empowering my births have been there. I feel so safe and supported at DAL, almost like I’m a part of a family. The facility is beautiful and comfortable and the staff are professional and loving. I adore everyone who works there!
I can't recommend Dar a Luz enough or say enough good things about the incredible team of people who work there. Everyone who works there is incredibly supportive and knowledgeable and they know how to ease an anxious mind like mine during one of the most anxiety-ridden times in my life. I am so thankful that we made the decision to have our son here and that everything worked out the way it was meant to. We will definitely be back for baby #2 (someday).
I have had nothing but a wonderful experience with Dar a Luz. I always feel loved and cared for, from woman to woman. As a first time mama it was very important to me to find a place that respected my values, and I definitely found that here. Very respectful team!
The rooms are very clean and organized. The staff is professional and knowledgeable. They do great job at maintaining a welcoming environment and keeping you well informed.
