Danver's is dishonest, makes false statements. When the University of Memphis Tigers football team score at least 21 points, they did 9/19/09, the game announcer tells all fans they can get a free roast beef sandwich with the purchase of a med. drink and their ticket stub thru the following Wednesday. This is not true. At the Kirby store,9/23/09, we were told the manager had told them to stop taking the tickets. This dishonest scheme and false advertising will be reported to U of M. We walked out and will never patronize thi... read more

Danver's is Awful. My girlfriend and I went to the Cordova location. I had a bacon cheeseburger combo and she had the philly roast beef sandwich. I paid somewhere in the neighborhood of $13 and it was not worth it. The philly beef was unremarkable, but the biggest offense was the burger. It was COLD. Not refrigerator cold, but cold to the point that I knew that they didn't even try to reheat it. I can imagine my patty sitting on the counter for 3 hours, just waiting for some sucker like myself to order a burger under the ass... read more

Touch and go... I eat at the Union Avenue location as well as the Poplar East location. Union is as described by several others...food good, service awful. Poplar East I usually get good service and the food is typically good or tolerable but I always eat there at the peak of lunch hour when there is a lot of turnover with the food in the kitchen so its probably the freshest point in time during the day. The problem with this chain is simply the need for them to step into the 21st century...get a frigging web site for people... read more

Comparison shopping I've been to two Danver's to date: Cordova & Kirby Pkwy. Cordova has been almost always at lunch, and I usually order whatever's on special. I've never left unsatisfied, and the wait is always minimal. Less than $6 for a lunch combo is unheard of in the Memphis area! However, my single trip to the Kirby Pkwy location was pretty awful. Their "specials" were misleading, my food took about 15 minutes (which would've been fine had they informed me - instead I stood watching workers twiddle their thumbs and pl... read more

Old food My wife and I have been regular patrons of the Cordova Danvers until today. It seems their food is cooked far in advance by the look and taste of our sandwich today. The chicken was tough, the white meat brown and edges hard and inedible. It possibly spent some time under a heat-lamp after cooking. If I were an employee there I would not serve such a sandwich much less buy it for my own consumption! If you like Danvers I suggest you go early in the day for fresher, cooked meat but avoid slow periods after breakfast,... read more

Health Codes My family and I like Denver's It's quick and Convenient after working all Day. last night we ate at our local Denver's and there was only one problem that I brought to the Managers Attention. I watched 2 kitchen employee's walk from the kitchen with their DIRTY gloves and aprons on and fix themselves a drink ,then return to work without changing there gloves or washing their hands. They continued to drink in the food prep area (no lid or straw) I am in the Restaurant Business and I know alot about health codes. ... read more

One good, one bad My husband and I enjoy Danver's for their wonderful salad bar and tasty burgers and roast beef sandwiches. We have visited the Danver's in Cordova as well as the one in Bartlett. Twice we went to the Cordova location. EACH time we were there during a quiet period of time with only a few customers. We ordered burgers and salad and waited 25 minutes (no kidding!) EACH time to receive our order!!! We watched as the workers wasted time and felt as though our order was an imposition to them and cramped their soc... read more
