STUFF ME with STUFFED SHRIMP – I grew up on the gulf coast eating shrimp all my life but stuffed shrimp has always been my favorite. Those old restaurants on the coast are long gone and many blown away in storms. I came to Houston and critically looked for my favorite stuffed shrimp. Best Seafood in Houston – The owners are very personable and always visit our table. The gumbo is awsome as are the best sides ever created - okra & tomatoes and house rice - the absolute best. Anything Crab is also good - the crab cakes, the crab dip, etc. My husband loves seafood and his comment after our first visit was "that is the best seafood I have ever had". We visit on special occasions like birthdays, anniversary, and when family visits from out of town or when we get a craving for seafood ( which is often).
Excellent seafood and service! – Danton's Seafood is located on Montrose Blvd and is a stand out among the other many restaurants in the ares. I have been going here to eat since it opened a couple of years ago. Back then the menu was sparse and has since grown as they have perfected dishes. Gumbo Like Your Mama Makes! – I've been to Danton's three times and all on weekdays. The ambience is always soothing which is perfect for winding down after a day of work. The staff is very attentive and always have a smile on their faces. My favorites have been the gumbo, grilled catfish, and shrimp po-boy. I had the chicken and sausage gumbo and that roux....let me tell you.... It is rich, thick, and full of flavor just like it should be.
70th Birthday Dinner - Danton's Gift – We wanted to plan something very special for my Mother's 70th Birthday this year. She loves really great seafood which is hard to get where she lives. Houston's Best Seafood – By far exceeded my expecations! The restaurant is all about being local from the photos on the wall to the menu items. Our server was incredible and attentive. He made a few recommendations and made sure we were happy during our meal. I had the grilled snapper and it was truly amazing. It was extremely fresh and the seasoning really brought out the flavors. Not enough variety – There are no Oysters Rockefeller or stuffed flounder on the menu, and their prices are too high. .........I'm glad we live in Seabrook. Seabrook, Kemah and Bacliff have much better seafood options.
Not that great... – I had dinner here tonight. Nothing special and way over priced... I had pecan snapper and it was just ok for $30. I believe you can go some other places that provide better quality with lower price.
