"I am very focused on quality of life; I want to know how my patients lived before they were injured and what they hope to gain from their treatment. I want to establish long-lasting relationships with my patients so that they feel comfortable calling me when they need support."

OrthoVirginia is a big practice that I've used before. They are adding a pain-management practice at their McLean/Tysons location, with Dr. Cherrick as the first physician in that area. I mention this because I think that's why I was able to get a next-day appointment--a condition which may not last long, but it was great for me this time! Dr. Cherrick was thorough in asking about my current issues and goals (relatively mild sciatica, but I want to take out some good-sleep insurance for a river-cruise vacation coming up soon... read more
Would not use this physician, nor this practice (OrthoVirginia) again. Patients stacked in every exam room, and in the waiting room. Physician dashes from room to room like a mouse running between bits of cheese. Consequently, physician is always late, then always rushed. Patient feels the uncomfortable pressure, disinclined toward asking all questions/having fullest discussion. Tele appointments no better, late and rushed. OrthoVirginia invites patients to review physician's notes on website following appointments. Dr. Cher... read more
Dr. Chernivk is very knowledgeable, competent and compassionate doctor. She is well prepared for the visit and is very pro active in establishing a plan of care. I was very impressed by the quality of care.
Dr. Cherrick respects her patients and takes the time to listen and understand the issue. She recommends several paths for healing. A’s all the way.
It is rare to find a doctor who is both compassionate and capable of offering an outstanding quality of healthcare. After two major surgeries at a highly accredited hospital she was the first physician to talk about my pain and quality of life. She has given me hope.
Dr Cherrick was thorough, patient, compassionate and knowledgeable. A+
I was recommended by a doctor friend to make an appointment with Dr. Cherrick because I have been in continual pain for well over 6 months. Consisting of leg and buttock pain along with numbness in my toes. Mind you I saw an internist, did physical therapy and a chiropractor. I had my appointment within a week — definitely a plus. I was pleasantly surprised that Dr. Cherrick took the time to really listen to my story and pinpointed what she recommended to start making me feel better. She also advised an MRI to determine if t... read more
Dr. Cherrick has an amazing ability to zero in on your problem and to provide a treatment plan. She takes her time with each patient and is caring, as is her staff.
After months of living with 7-9 levels of pain and going through various male docs who did not believe my pain levels were accurate. I was referred to Dr. Cherrick for a steroid shot, but feel like I also got a therapy session -- the first thing she said when she came into the office was acknowledged how much pain I am in and asked how I was handling that mentally (which was stuffing it into a box to not make other people uncomfortable) -- but having a medical professional acknowledge that I was in a great deal of pain and t... read more
