I felt Dr. Wood took time to to explain the treatments available for my knee problem. When conservative treatments no longer worked and surgery was indicated, he walked me through what was to be done as well as provided a booklet with very helpful information regarding what was to be expected from pre-admission to post-op follow up. I felt I was in very good hands. Dr. Wood was very positive and encouraging and I would not hesitate to recommend him to family and friends.
My experience with Dr . Woods was very good. I found his office staff to be efficient and caring. I fell at work and broke my knee cap. I ended up in emergency room. Dr Woods came to access my injury in between his surgeries. I would not want to repeat this experience but , Dr Woods and his staff managed my care with great care and compassion. I am happy to be on the mend. I would recommend Dr woods for any orthopedic needs.
Dr. Woods took time to explain the issues and options to repair a torn meniscus and remove a large bone spur on my foot. I felt very confident I was making the right decisions, and I knew what to expect from the procedure and recovery. Thank you!!!
I recently had a full hip replacement done by Dr. Woods, and could not be happier. I went to 4 different doctors before deciding to have the surgery, and Dr. Woods definitely seemed like the best fit for me. He used the anterior approach, so the recovery was very quick, and the scar is very small (about 4 inches). He was very thorough in his explanation of things, and took as much time as I needed to answer questions. I highly recommend him to anyone thinking about this surgery.
my hip surgeries, the information provided prior to the surgeries and the aftercare have all been superlative. I highly recommend Dr. Woods
Dr. Woods was very thorough in reviewing my case and took the time to explain what the problem was and what the plan of treatment would be. He explained what would be happening and the timelines involved and what I should expect. He listened when I had questions and explained what I was feeling and always had a secondary plan if things didn't heal as he expected. Of course, everything has gone just as he explained and I have been more than happy with his care. And Jill is more than helpful too!
I would definitely recommend Dr. Woods to any of my family or friends. that's how I heard about him was from friends who had the anterior approach for total hip replacement. What impressed me the most was the bound notebook on THR-anterior approach that was given after my first consultation. He went through the pre-op, the day of surgery, and post care. All of my questions could be answered looking through the notebook. And Dr. Woods prayed with me before going into surgery-how reassuring!
Dr. Woods was very thorough in his exam, asked many questions, and explained his proposed solution fully. I felt well-cared-for and that my concerns were fully heard. Only issue was that I wished he had given me a clearer course to follow between now and when surgery would happen (maybe six months). I was so surprised (and upset) by the diagnosis that I didn't ask any questions...my issue, not his. He did approve a course of physical therapy, which will be really helpful.
Dr. Woods is a very knowledgeable orthopedic surgeon with a very kind, caring bedside manner. He is able to explain your problem at a lay person's level. His office staff is very friendly & thorough. His medical assistant, Jill, is very pleasant & efficient. I had surgery at the Pismo Beach Coastal Surgical Institute & the above accolades followed through there also.
