Dr. Thomas’s scheduling policies and patient communication are entirely unacceptable. Dan Thomas does not deserve to be called a doctor. His behavior toward me—and toward others—is not only unethical but abusive. This has happened before, but this time I recorded him. I have played the recording for family and friends, including several physicians. They were shocked and outraged by his behavior. Many noted that he initially kept the door open so the nurses’ station could hear him say, “Hello, Ms. K. He is a nice guy but needs to stop referring to god and praying. We are not all believers, and it feels like he’d rather do that than discuss medications. Very off putting.
