He never set eyes on me prior to procedure. His PA insisted my referral was for both a colonoscopy and endoscopy. It was not. Only the endoscopy, which I insisted was only to be done. The endoscopy left me burning in my upper stomach to this day. I asked what he did to me but no one told me. I needed to pay for an appointment to ask him.Steer clear of these people.
His bio stated that he liked to get to know his patients. I never met him. I thought I would before the endoscopy , and asked how he will get to know me if he hasn't ever met me. I was told ' he knows all he needs to know about you.' Then I was knocked out.After, I started hurting in my abdomen. Never had this pain previously. I was in extream pain! I have been Dr. Camara's patient for 19 years. He has been wonderful in my treatment. His staff id helpful and courteous. I would highly recommend Dr Camara
I got very sick during colonoscopy prep and vomited nonstop for hours. Next morning I called to cancel and reschedule and Dr says he won't reschedule me because I canceled too late. Another instance of a Dr putting their fragile ego in front of a patients care.
I just want to say dr Camara is one of the most compassionate drs I ever met. Tried calling 2 GI drs to get an endoscope done both offices were called multiple times but they never called back. If they could not take patients then they should call back and say that. So got referral from our primary dr and dr Camara’s office called to set up procedure at Sisters hosp. Explained all aspects of my medical evaluation,treatment options,follow up not only to myself but to my wife as well in a manner ,we both understood.Gentle,professional, "old school approach" not in a hurry to walk away.
Called and referred to him by primary. Told woman that my GI recently retired and she said she and dr have to review my records and will get back to me. 6 hours later, she called back and said dr said to stick with GI. I said I told you he retired. She said HE SAID NO...very sternly. Don’t go here, go anywhere else!
Dr. Camara has been taking care of my multiple digestive concerns for 10 years and I have every confidence in him. He diagnosed something that had bothered me for years and no one was able to figure it out or offer any relief. I highly recommend him!
