Kind professional and smart
Dr McBride did both of my Knee replacements and he was very good in my opinion. He does have a great sense of Humor which is hard to find these days. I wouldnt hesitate to return!
I have had knee replacement surgery and two rotator cuff repairs. All the results exceeded my expectations and have improved my life immensely. I credit Dr. McBride with these results.
Beware of Dr. McBride. I took my 97 y/o mother to see him. He was rude, abrupt, and showed very little interest in her issues. He IS NOT patient centered at all. When I asked a question about the Supartz gel injections vs. the cortisone ones she had been getting without relief, I received a long lecture about the cost of the gel injections and studies in Europe, etc. He was not helpful at all with the questions I asked-deferring to her PCP for the answers. Very unprofessional.
Dr McBride replaced both of my knees, I now have zero pain and im doing great. He never pushed surgery on me and tried to help me with injections first. He has an excellent bedside manner and actually has a sense of Humor..I would go to him again without question
I made an appointment with Dr. McBride because I was having shoulder pain that had lasted about three weeks and was keeping me from swimming. I wasn't shopping for surgery -- I just wanted to know what was wrong and how I could make it better. He was impatient when he realized I wouldn't need surgery, and mentioned several times that there are a lot of people who are much worse off than I am, and that this kind of issue is to be expected "at our age." So, kind of a jerk. Zero bedside manner.
I started seeing Dr. McBride for my right knee. He gave me 3 cortizone injections in my knee and that helped an awful lot. Then I stopped going because I got busy but my knees got worse. He did 2 total knee replacements on me within 5 months and what a difference. He is an amazing doctor, always smiling, will answer any questions and treats you as an equal. I would recommend him to anyone who asks. In fact a neighbor of mine had a knee replacement done by him on my recommendation!
Dr McBride has given me two new knees that I enjoy everyday. He is responsive and engages with you fully. He is one of the most cheerful doctor (or people) you have ever met! His staff is professional and his nurses are especially supportive during your care and recovery.
I have a connective tissue disease that has caused problems with my shoulder. Dr. McBride has been able to still have use of my arm. Dr. McBride has done a fantastic job anticipating problems in my shoulder and doing his best to minimize them. He is a down to earth doctor, who relates very well with his patients. He cares for his patients like they are a member of his extended family. I highly recommend him for general orthopedic care!!!
