The surgery went really well, what impressed me most was the before and after surgery care. I did have a second opinion but was told the same as what Dr. Kuesis had recommended. Friendly staff, no long wait times.
Dr Kuesis is the only Dr. I would recommend for hip surgery. The surgery was basically painless. I had 2 pain killers the day of surgery and never had to take anything after. Not even an advil. I was walking with a walker the day of surgery. Went through 6 weeks of physical therapy and exercise. I was able to walk a mile and ride a stationary bike after 6 weeks. NO PAIN!!! Didn't take 5 min. with me. Looked like he couldn't wait to get out of room. He just looked at computer screen. Didn't up date me on new xray they just took. Walked out told me he's turning over to back doctor snince pain is more in spine. As he walked out the door I said a had a couple questions. Kept walking. Nurse behind him heard me and just kept inching out the door. I went home and cried. I've been in horrible pain for 6 weeks. What a waste of my time.
He doesn’t really give you any explanation as to what is wrong with you or why you need to be “off your feet” or “wearing insoles.” He walks in, says “yeah…you shouldn’t put weight of your feet for the next few weeks.” And then leaves. His PA then seems rather annoyed if you ask her anything or if she needs to explain something in more detail. I’m sure they are good at what they do, but their bedside manner is atrocious. They spend a total of 2 minutes with the patient and don’t listen to any of the questions being asked. It... read more
July 2021 this message was conveyed to Dr. Kuesis. "With much gratitude for your services, I write today regarding replacements October 30, 2020 & February 19, 2021. My knees are pain free ! I have been a water skier (still am) and runner most all of my life with a number of marathons under my belt. . . . my legs became more bow-legged and as time passed all activities were painful. The added and unexpected bonus is I have straight legs now." Plus or minus two years later at nearly 75 years young, yes I have arthritis. There... read more
In 2021 I needed a hip replacement, when I was healed, I also needed a knee replacement. Dr. Kuesis preformed both surgeries. The recovery time was great, I'm doing all the things I could do before my joints got bad. The being able to come home the same day was an extra bonus. If you are thinking about knee or hip replacements Dr. Kuesis is the best Doctor. I wish I could give him more than 5 stars. Most up to date surgeon there is. I had a friend who had hip surgery by another Doctor a week after me and she is still recover... read more
Visited Dr. Kuesis in late 2020 with groin and knee pain. Much to my surprise it turned out my hip had a LOT of arthritis and needed replacing. Finally, in December 2021 I decided it was time. The surgery was performed at Geneva Surgical Suites; I wanted to go home the same day, and I had had a previous shoulder surgery there 3 yrs prior (excellent experience).
Dr Kuesis is one of the worst doctor I have ever seen. In the few months I saw him for excruciating hip pain, he did nothing for me except order expensive tests. Multiple MRI’s, different types of bone scans, multiple xrays, but, never once went over results. My insurance finally said no more. He never address my pain, after I brought it up numerous times. Never in the room with me more than a few minutes, not happy if I asked any questions & actually walked out quite a few times as I was talking to him. His attitude toward ... read more
The initial process was rather lengthy as he wants to make sure there are no other underlying health concerns. i found out i needed a defibrillator! which in the long run was good! Then i had both knees done the following year, followed up by home health care and PT for recovery. I am VERY satisfied with my results
