My family and I stepped off the plane in Oct '84, and knew we had found our permanent home. Thirty one years later and we are still here...and still love it.
Domestic/interisland TSA line is UNACCEPTABLE!!!

I'll never forget the first day I stepped off the plane at the HIA to start my tour of duty at the Navy and Marine Corps Reserve Center....1990. As soon as I stepped of the plane, the sweet smell of plumeria and other native flowers filled the air and I was greeted by native Hawaiians bearing gifts of beautiful leis and words of welcome...ALOHA! This is a place I will surely never forget!
It's old and there is hardly anyone around to help u. Computers went down and the lines got longer and longer and they had to do everything by hand - ridiculous !
Former resident. I'm slowed to take razor blades, lighters but I can't take a Christmas gift, that was still wrapped that was given to me for a loved one that was 20ml above their limit. Well maybe the TSA agent now has a great gift for his girl.
