Beware - Office policy states if you see another Doctor after seeing Sonderling, you can not return back to his office. They claim the other doctor is my doctor which means you can not get a second opinion and are Sonderling's patient for life. I am free to see any doctor of my choice according to my insurance company. I asked the Office Manager is this legal and she stated they can make any policy they wish. I will look into this! Perhaps it's his ego.
Exceptually accomodating and keeps patients informed throughout procedures. Is very gentle with the scope. I opted for colonoscopies without conscious sedation, and he was very gentle, even my Blood pressure was at baseline during the second colonoscopy. I would highly recommend him and his team in the procedure room, and in recovery, post procedure.

Dr. Sonderling is very friendly, professional and thorough. I highly recommend him based on my experiences via visits and medical procedures that he has performed.
Dr. Wenger listened to every question I had and answered them all. He also wrote down everything I had to do to help me with my issues. He performed a colonoscopy and showed me a picture of my procedure. He is extremely personable and very sweet!!!
When in for a colonoscopy, would up sick and in Boca Regional. Sonderling perforated me. His staff and himself are the worst. Calls NOT returned, week in Hospital NOT one visit…. Stay away from Sonderling!!!
Typically when you go to the doctors, you expect a few things. One, your doctor won’t be treating an appointment like a police interrogation and exhibiting patience as you try to describe your problems. Two, your doctor won’t take out their phone and text while they’re in the process of almost examining your issue. Dr. Szomstein failed this both of these simple principles.
