Five years ago, an ultrasound found a cyst on my pancreas, an incidental finding. Dr. Gelrud was recommended to me as an expert on the pancreas. I was really scared and did a lot of reading. From our first meeting, I found Dr. Gelrud to be, not only very knowledgeable, but also very capable of explaining things very thoroughly. So far, we are watching the cyst (MRIs and an EUS if there is growth). If you are looking for a great Dr with A LOT of heart, chose Dr. Gelrud as your gastro.
pt of west kendall- I'm coming back to do my colonoscopy for the second time with Dr Gelrude. He is very informative. The office environment here at West Kendall is great and waiting time was short. The staff were all very kind. I totally recommend this group and specially Dr Gelrude. I trust his expertise.. MC
THE STAFF AT WEST KENDALL OFFICE WAS FANTASTIC. THEY WAITED PATIENTLY FOR MY REFERRAL TO COME IN FROM MY PRIMARY. JACKIE EXPLAINED THE PREP WELL. SHE IS VERY NICE AND ATTENTIVE. THE FRONT DESK AND MEDICAL ASSISTANT AS WELL.
Office staff is very caring and efficient. Dr Gelrud is very patient and takes time to ask questions and listen.
The worse office staff I’ve ever experienced. I? had a scheduled appointment st 10:30 AM. i arrived there at 9:55 AM and the lady at the front counter, without saying a word, literally throw the clipboard at me. At 11:00am, i walked back to the counter and asked how much longer it would be. She looked at me as if I was from Mars and said I’ll be with you shortly. I told her I was leaving. Can’t say anything about the Doctor, as I never had an opportunity to see him. Will find another place !!
