I'm 63 years old and have been a patient of Dr. Chervony for 30 years. He cares about your well being just like a therapist does as well . He may not be the friendliest doctor there is but I haven't stayed any doctor based on their personality. Very knowledgeable and as worked with me for years until we found the correct medicines to help with my mental disorders. He's one of the reasons that swayed me from moving out of state when I that decision when I was undecided. I think very highly of him. Glenn S.
I met Dr. Chervony after years of going to Dr. Iyer who wouldn't budge on my ineffective medication. Dr. Chervony's resident spent over an hour with me deciphering my diet, exercise, thoughts and moods. Dr. Chervony came in and talked to me for at least a half hour. He's very kind and easy to talk to. He's the best psych I've had in the 30 years I've been dealing with this situation. The staff is great!
My initial impression was that he was very arrogant. Snap assessments with little discussion. I was depressed and anxious with bad sleep issues. After a short assessment he put me on an antipsychotic medication. It made me sick so with no more discussion he threw another pill at me. The problem was that it interacted badly with a med I was already on which was on my chart. The resulting response layed me out for several days. I could hardly walk. Dr. Chervony is awful. He misdiagnosed and over medicated me. It was also in my records to not prescribe a certain medication. Well he prescribed it under a different name and I had huge problems. He upped my doses constantly. I was like a zombie. I have a new psychiatrist now, and have a correct diagnosis, and I am only on one medication. I am slowly getting back to myself, after a decade of being over medicated. Do not trust this doctor! Please look elsewhere.
I took my elder mother to Dr. Chervony, who started experience a severe and prolonged episode of anxiety and depression. Dr. Chervony was very empathetic to my mom and approached her with calmness and support. He also listened carefully to what I had to say in order to gather all of her history and current behavior. Dr. Chervony has taken a very methodical approach to the medications. My mother still has a bit to go, but is making improvement. I'm confident in Dr. Chervony to help her recover.
Being a long time patient means nothing at all. I get the same unacceptable treatment as everyone else, cold and uncaring. I’ve gone without my medication for two weeks now due to his incompetence and that of his office staff. His patients are merely dollar signs. He blames me for them taking so long to get to the request, sends the scripts to the wrong pharmacy twice, the wrong dosage a third time. How is that my fault?
