Dr Daniel Galyon MD Johnson City NY 13790 Wilson Hospital Head Neurosurgeon saved my life when Dr Daniel Galyon performed a same day within two hours emergency cranial surgery with the removal of the entire left side of head skull bone and removal of as much as medical safe possible of the over 1 1/4 inch thickening thick blood clot continuing to formulate somewhat impacted on the left-side of my brain. I was in a comatose state of mind and body from a nearly fatal car accident September 26, 1998. The car accident was later ... read more
My husband suffered a traumatic brain injury in a car accident. Fortunately Dr Sethi was his surgeon that night. Dr Sethi is very competent and kind, but the times our family had to deal with Dr Galyon he was extremely rude and condescending.
I was sable to self refer to Dr Galyon with a lower back issue. My appointment was on time not rushed, and he did a thorough exam. He told me he could see the issue on my CT but recommended waiting to see if it worsened...a few months later I had another episode and with his input, I had surgery...as someone working in the health care industry, I found him to be thorough, honest, and compassionate and the surgery got me back on the golf course!! I would recommend him to anyone..
Dr Galyon is a highly skilled neurosurgeon. He quickly and accurately diagnosed my back condition. His surgical skills are top notch and postoperatively I am already 95 percent better. This is the best my back and legs have felt in a year. All thanks to Dr Galyon
No bedside manners, difficult to talk to, has no time for the patient, very disappointed.
Saw "DR" 20 yrs ago for back pain. Came in, asked very few questions, did not give me an examination. Said only way he would do surgery is if "I was crawling around on the ground in pain" 20 yrs later pain management Dr sent me to him to get an opinion. Nurse rude...Galyon still a jerk!! Looked at my MRI ...said no surgery Then he sticks my feet with a needle and asks if I can feel it. What do my feet have to do with my back! Rude,no compassion and doesn't care Never go to him again!
Dr Gaylon is a rude and arrogant so called doctor. I was referred to him by another dr of mine. My appt with him lasted a whole 5 minutes for him to insult me and have him tell me that if I can walk and talk then I can work. Also that I need to get over my head injury. Also questioning things that were not even related to my appt. He barely let me ask any question and when I did all he seemed to care about is what workers comp had said. Do not even waste your time with him.
GREAT surgeon. I had the pleasure to be his patient and his surgery was a complete success. His manners are as they should and he tells you what it is wrong with you , even if you don't want to hear it. Great personality and I'll recommend him to all my friends .One of the best orthopedic surgeon in the Southern Tier.
If you are looking for a "warm and fuzzy" doctor that sugar coats thing, he is NOT the doctor for you. He is upfront, blunt, and tells it like it is. I saw him for low back pain. He said he could help with my leg pain, but as for my back pain, I'm screwed. I, for one, like his upfront and blunt nature. A doctor's bedside manner is quite low on my list of qualifications. I look at things like track record, knowledge and abilities.
