I normally do not write reviews but I had the privilege of meeting Dr Cruz when I became a biochemist at UCLA and started volunteering at the UCLA Ronald Reagan Hospital. I was immediately drawn to the research he was conducting: heart transplant disparities among patients who are on the United Network of Organ Sharing’s (UNOS) waiting list. I had the privilege of meeting Dr Cruz when I was studying biochemistry at UCLA and volunteering at the UCLA RR, I was immediately drawn toward the research he was conducting: heart transplant disparities among patients who are on the waiting list. We poured over data from +107 transplant programs in the U.S. from SRTR database. We submitted our research paper to the New England Journal of Medicine. Dr Adam Custer was also my mentor during this project.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Daniel Cruz , Cardiologist at UCLA,!and his staff. He is one of the kindest, most caring, informative, patient doctors I have ever met. I highly highly recommend him. He’s an amazing Doctor, a true gem and so is his staff.
