Dr. Daniel Cruz is one of the most amazing doctors I have experienced. His kind spirit and expertise is unmatched. I am very grateful to have been under Dr. Cruz’s care. I normally do not write reviews but I had the privilege of meeting Dr Cruz when I became a biochemist at UCLA and started volunteering at the UCLA Ronald Reagan Hospital. I was immediately drawn to the research he was conducting: heart transplant disparities among patients who are on the United Network of Organ Sharing’s (UNOS) waiting list. I had the privilege of meeting Dr Cruz when I was studying biochemistry at UCLA and volunteering at the UCLA RR, I was immediately drawn toward the research he was conducting: heart transplant disparities among patients who are on the waiting list. We poured over data from +107 transplant programs in the U.S. from SRTR database. We submitted our research paper to the New England Journal of Medicine. Dr Adam Custer was also my mentor during this project.
