I knew Dr Dan Congreve from my residency training in Emergency Medicine. That included a surgery rotation where I was lucky enough to be working alongside Dr Congreve for 3 months back in the 1980's. He is without a doubt the smartest and best clinician I have ever known. I almost changed my specialty to general surgery because of him. A week does not go by without my being reminded by something he taught me. He is a gifted surgeon, to say the least.
